Dr. Jennifer R. Stalkup is
a board-certified dermatologist who graduated
magna cum laude from Rice University and received
her doctor of medicine with honors from Baylor
College of Medicine. She then completed her internship
in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital
of Dallas and her residency in Dermatology at
the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
in Dallas.
Dr. Stalkup is a Diplomate of the American Board
of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy
of Dermatology, and a member of numerous other
local and national organizations. She is the recipient
of the American Medical Women's Association "Janet
M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation"
for Scholastic Achievement and a member of the
Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She has
numerous publications in major dermatology journals
and also authored several book chapters in prestigious
medical textbooks on viral skin diseases.
Dr. Stalkup is on medical staff at Presbyterian
Hospital of Plano and Medical Center of Plano.
She also volunteers and teaches medical students
and residents in dermatology at UT Southwestern
Medical Center and the Dallas Veterans Affairs
Hospital. She participates in numerous community
service activities such as organizing free skin-cancer
screenings as well as lecturing to the public
about skin cancer, self skin-exams, and the effects
of the sun and aging.
Dr. Stalkup specializes in the treatment of diseases
of the skin, hair and nails in patients of all
ages and skin types. Her areas of expertise include
pediatric and general adult dermatology, the prevention
and treatment of skin cancer, and dermatologic
surgery. She also performs cosmetic removal and
treatment of skin growths and moles as well as
Botox for hyperhidrosis and facial lines.
Dr. Stalkup resides in Plano, TX with her husband,
Randy, and son, William. |
